Press Conference for the Launch of Season Two of the Future History Award to Be Held on May 20, 2026

On Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 16:00 Moscow time, TASS will host a press conference dedicated to the launch of the second season of the "Future History" International Science Fiction Literary Award. The event will take place at TASS, 2 Tverskoy Boulevard, 2nd floor.

The press conference will focus on the goals and mission of the award, new features and plans for the second season, the geography of participants, the new jury lineup, and the current influence of science fiction on real-world technological development.

Speakers will include Elena Mironenko, Director General of the Atom Foundation to Promote the Development of Research, Education, and Communication Initiatives; Sergey Shikarev, Executive Secretary of the award’s organizing committee, critic and science fiction researcher; screenwriter, producer and director Andrey Zolotarev; science fiction writer Roman Zlotnikov; and Denis Stolyarov, a prize winner of the first season of the Future History award.

"Future History" is the only international literary award in Russia dedicated entirely to science fiction. During its first season, the competition attracted more than 2,500 authors from 30 countries across Africa, Asia, South America and Europe. The award was established by the Atom Foundation with the support of Rosatom State Corporation.

To obtain accreditation, media representatives must send an email to press-center@tass.ru from an official corporate email address. The email must include a letter on the media outlet’s official letterhead stating the journalist’s full name, position, and current contact details. Entry is restricted to pre-accredited media representatives upon presentation of a passport and valid press credentials.
