In an interview with Alexey Pilko, science fiction writer Sergey Lukyanenko talks about the future of literature against the background of the rapid development of neural networks. He notes that fiction is increasingly going digital, and many young authors, especially women, are already using AI in the writing process. Lukyanenko emphasizes that this changes the very profession of a writer: the entry threshold decreases, but the quality of texts also suffers. In his opinion, in the near future neural networks will be able to create individual novels at the request of the reader, which will be beneficial to the public, but will be a challenge for the authors.
